We send you immediate updates about severe weather based on where you are. No need to ask for info - we automatically send you potentially life-saving alerts as soon as you're in an affected area or when an alert is issued for where you are. And as weather conditions change, you’ll get updates right away.
Whether it’s summer storms causing severe thunderstorms in the afternoon or late at night, or sudden heavy rain two counties away causing dangerous flash floods nearby — you’ll get alerts in real-time, even when you’re sleeping.
Once you set up your account, we keep track of your satellite communicator’s location and send alerts for severe storms, floods, or other serious weather warnings for your area.
And it’s not just weather updates — you’ll also get important safety alerts like tsunami warnings, wildfire evacuation notices, and alerts about drinking water or dangerous animals.
Getting a weather forecast in remote areas by satellite has been around for a while, but it’s nothing compared to the alerts we send straight to your device.
Services like Garmin, ZOLEO, or Bivy allow you to request basic forecasts, which are often free or included in your monthly plan. You can pay extra for more detailed forecasts, such as marine or hourly updates. You might also subscribe to third-party weather services for additional information, like sailing conditions.
But all these options have big downsides.
First, you have to ask for the forecast, and it may only be accurate for a few hours.
The forecast’s accuracy also depends on the closest forecast location, which could be far away and not be very accurate. Plus, these services often don’t tell you which location your forecast is based on.
Your adventure could take you far from that spot or into an area where weather is very different — in a valley, on a ridge, or over water — which can change the weather you’ll actually face.
Even worse, none of these forecasts include severe weather warnings or alerts about dangerous developing conditions.
Asking for a forecast can help plan your day, but weather can change fast. Without up-to-date severe weather info, you could be caught off guard.
